Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to welcome Canadian singer-songwriter Gino Vannelli, on Saturday, February 25. Vannelli scored his first hit in 1974 with "People Gotta Move," which made it to No. 22 on the Billboard Top 100. He also made his television debut the following year when he became the second Caucasian performer to appear on the classic show Soul Train. Vannelli then toured as the opening act for Stevie Wonder and earned a Grammy Award nomination for his 1978 hit "I Just Wanna Stop," which peaked at No. 1 in Canada (No. 4 in the U.S.). Vannelli's album Brother to Brother was certified platinum in 1979, the same year he received Canada's Juno Award for Best Male Artist. Spotlight 29 Casino is proud present the soulful sounds of Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, Michael Bolton, on Saturday, March 11. Michael Bolton is a multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and social activist, who has sold more than 60 million records worldwide. In recognition of his artistic achievements, Michael won two Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance (nominated four times), six American Music Awards, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a songwriter, he has earned over 24 BMI & ASCAP Awards, including Songwriter of the Year, nine Million-Air awards, and the Hitmakers Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to announce the return of one of the longest-running Mexican regional music acts of all time, Los Tigres del Norte, onFriday, March 17 in the Spotlight Showroom. The band, together since the ‘60s, features the Hernández brothers, Jorge, Hernán, Eduardo and Luis along with their cousin Óscar Lara. They turned norteño music into an international genre, singing songs about life and love, as well as touching on political and social issues such as immigration and drugs. Los Tigres del Norte have won six Grammy Awards and six Latin Grammy Awards and sold over 37 million records. With the success of their latest album Realidades, they have now tied for the most top 10 Latin albums ever with a total of 23. In all, they have 22 number one albums and more than 50 number one singles. Last year Los Tigres del Norte was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a first for a norteño band. Dwight Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and 9 platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard?s Country Albums chart, and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly 40 of Yoakam's singles have charted, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. He received the Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony, the most prestigious award offered by the organization. In September of 2016, Yoakam released his first ever bluegrass album Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars.. on Sugar Hill Records. Spotlight 29 Casino welcomes back Paquita La Del Barrio on Friday, April 7. Paquita, nicknamed “Franny from the neighborhood,” is known as one of the great defenders of women through her socially relevant songs. Paquita began her career in Mexico City where she succeeded in gaining popularity with live performances filled with her songs about courage, pride and social stigmas. Some of her well known songs include “Acabame de Matar,” “Ni un Cigarro,” “El Fracaso de mi Amor,” “Un Amor a Mi Medida,” “Borrate,” “Me saludas a la tuy,” “El Precio de tu Amor,” and “No hay Quinto Malo.”

Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to bring the soulful sounds of R&B superstar Keith Sweat back to the Spotlight Showroom on Saturday, April 22. Sweat is known for his distinctive voice and romantic lyrics. He has enjoyed numerous top 10 hits on the R&B charts, including “Something Just Ain't Right," "Make It Last Forever," "Don't Stop Your Love” and “I Want Her.” His debut solo album in 1987 spurred a number one R&B song with “I Want Her” and inaugurated the New Jack Swing Era. His 1990 album I'll Give All My Love to You featured the hits "Make You Sweat," "Merry Go Round" and "I'll Give All My Love to You." Sweat also recorded two albums with Gerald LeVert and Johnny Gill, billed as LSG. The "Baddest Little Show on Earth" is coming back to Spotlight 29 Casino on Saturday, April 29. This big-time show features wrestlers from the Extreme Midget Wrestling Federation (EMWF), with heights at four feet, 10 inches tall or under. The EMWF has been traveling around the country, and just like regular-sized wrestlers, they smack each other over the head with chairs, throw each other over tables and perform high-flying leaps from the ropes.
